Scorpio Classic AC Compressor Dilemma: Sanden an Option?
Hey Scorpio Classic owners,
I'm facing an AC compressor issue with my Scorpio S10. The old compressor has finally given up, and I'm exploring replacement options.
I've heard that Sanden compressors are quite reliable. Would a Sanden compressor be a suitable replacement for the original one in the Scorpio Classic? Has anyone tried this before?
I'm concerned about compatibility issues and potential performance impacts. Any insights or experiences would be greatly appreciated.
Sanden is a universal AC compressor. That means you can get it fitted in any car. It is a heavy duty compressor with good reliability and power. It will be suitable for Mahindra Scorpio.
Sanden is a very old compressor. It used to come with cars like Armada and padmini if I'm not wrong. Its performance is very good but due to its higher capacity and steel build it is not suitable for smaller cars and petrol cars. But in Mahindra Scorpio it can work very well... also consult your mechanic 🤔
The answer is yes! you can go for Sanden 507 compressor. It will word perfectly with your scorpio. make sure the lines are clean before installation. your mechanic will clean it with petrol. any residue like black oil from old compressor will ruin the new one also.
you can get sanden 507 compressor fitted in your scorpio. It will be much cheaper than the OEM one. Will cost you around 6500/- . It is suitable for any diesel car. You just have to get the scorpio brackets to get it fixed in place. Brackets can be easily found with any spare part dealer where you are going to get compressor.
