Scorpio V or XUV 700
Which one should i choose Scorpio N or XUV 700, I'm looking for a petrol SUV but confused between two
It depends what you want. If you are looking for a really comfortable vehicle which is capable of crossing potholes and can handle minor offroad then you should go for XUV 700 as it has monocoque chassis. On the other hand if you want a rugged vehicle then go for Scorpio with Body on Frame configuration. I have driven both vehicles and both of them are quite comfortable. You should take a test drive first then decide. I hope it helped.
Both are excellent SUVs from Mahindra, offering power, space, and features. But they cater to slightly different needs. Let's break down the key aspects to help you decide which offers the most value for your money.
Starting Price: The Mahindra Scorpio-N starts at a more attractive price point (around ₹ 13.85 Lakh) compared to the XUV700 (around ₹ 13.99 Lakh).
Variants: Both offer a range of variants with varying features. However, the Scorpio-N offers a wider range of trims across petrol and diesel options, potentially allowing you to find a better fit for your budget and needs.
Cabin Space: Both SUVs boast spacious interiors. However, the XUV700 might have a slight edge in terms of overall legroom and headroom, especially in the second and third rows (if you opt for the 7-seater Scorpio-N).
Engine Options: Both offer petrol and diesel engines. The Scorpio-N's petrol engine (2.0L mStallion) delivers power (200 bhp) compared to the XUV700's (2.0L mStallion Turbo GDI - 200 bhp). However, the Scorpio-N's diesel engine (2.2L mHawk) is slightly less powerful (around 175 bhp) compared to the XUV700's diesel (2.2L mHawk - 185 bhp).
Driving Experience: The Scorpio-N, with its body-on-frame construction, leans towards a more rugged and off-road capable driving experience. The XUV700, with its monocoque chassis, offers a smoother and more car-like feel on the road
The XUV700 boasts a more feature-rich cabin with a panoramic sunroof, a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a 360-degree camera, and driver assistance features like adaptive cruise control and lane departure warning (depending on the variant).
The Scorpio-N offers a good balance of features and affordability. It includes a sunroof (on select trims), a touchscreen infotainment system, connected car features, and essential safety features like airbags, ABS, and electronic stability control.
Both SUVs offer decent fuel efficiency for their size, with the Scorpio-N potentially having a slight edge in the diesel variant due to its slightly lower power output. However, real-world mileage can vary depending on driving conditions and user habits.
If budget is your primary concern, the Mahindra Scorpio-N offers a compelling package. The starting price is lower, and it offers a wider range of trims to choose from, potentially allowing you to find a variant with the features you need at a price that fits your pocket.
If you prioritize features, technology, and a more car-like driving experience, the Mahindra XUV700 might be a better choice.
i hope it helped
The "best" SUV ultimately depends on your individual needs and priorities.
Choose the Mahindra Scorpio-N for:
-
- A more affordable starting price
- Flexibility with 6-seater or 7-seater options
- A potentially more powerful diesel engine
- A rugged off-road capable feel (if desired)
- Choose the Mahindra XUV700 for:
- A more feature-rich and technologically advanced cabin
- A smoother and more car-like driving experience
- A slightly more spacious interior (especially in the second and third rows)
Test Drive Both!
The most important factor is to test drive both SUVs to see which one feels more comfortable and suits your driving style. This will help you make the best decision for your needs and budget.
